Obituary

HAVERHILL- Torino A. ("Brandy") Brandolini, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away on September 30, 2013 at Merrimack Valley Hospital surrounded by his children. He was born at 100 River Street on April 25, 1924 and was the son of the late Marino and Agostina (Bonoli) Brandolini. He attended Haverhill schools and was a graduate of the electrical department at Haverhill Trade School, class of 1943. He went on to become a master electrician and also taught electrical courses at night at Haverhill Trade School. He is a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp as a radio technician from August, 1943 until being honorable discharged in February, 1946. After his discharge from the Army, he married Eleanor M. Warner in 1949. They had five children. Having been employed by CBS Hytron, he was transferred to Kalamazoo, MI in 1954. But always knowing that his heart was in Haverhill, he moved his family back in 1963. In 1975, he moved to Las Vegas where he was employed by the Environmental Protection Agency until his retirement and returned again to Haverhill in 1992. His activities included gardening, fishing, camping, good Italian food and always a good game of 45's. He always enjoyed finding a great deal and was an avid couponer. He would often pick up broken items, fix them and donate them to Ruth's House. He is survived by his sons, Robert Brandolini of Haverhill, Thomas Brandolini of East Kingston, NH; his daughters, Trina Pillsbury and her husband William of Haverhill, and Lori Nichols and her husband Earle of Haverhill. He is predeceased by his son Dennis Brandolini of Haverhill. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6 in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street (Rte 125), Bradford from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Military Honors will be rendered at 4:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Interment will be privately held in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
