Obituary

PLAISTOW, NH - Timothy J. Melvin, 56, of Plaistow, NH, beloved father of David and Madeline Melvin, died Wednesday, September 8, 2021, peacefully in his sleep at home.

He was born in Milwaukee WI to the late Charles and Audrey (Dart) Melvin. Raised in Danvers, MA, he was a graduate of Danvers High School and attended Salem State College. Tim was a true friend to so many, and he cherished his children. He will be remembered by all for his irreverent sense of humor and contagious laugh. Tim was employed by Crosby's Market for many years as the Store Manager in Georgetown.

Tim is survived by his amazing son and daughter, David and Madeline Melvin, and former spouse, Dorothy Melvin, loving mother of their children. Brother of Charles A Melvin III (and wife, Kathy) of Greenfield, WI, Patrick M. Melvin (and his late wife, Marie) of Hubbardston, MA, Corey A. Melvin (and wife, Susan) of Anderson, SC, Frank D. Melvin of Manchester, NH, and Christopher A. Melvin (and wife, Gilliane of Haverhill, MA. Uncle of Jenna Newbegin, Erik, Sharon-Marie, and Bentley Melvin, Sean and Katie Melvin, and Brodie and Willow Melvin. Many wonderful aunts and uncles, cousins, godchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Tim's visiting hours on Monday, September 13, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309. S Main Street, Haverhill from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. The family will hold a private cremation memorial service at a later date. Flowers are welcome, and other contributions can be sent to help the mission of St. Ann's Home located in Methuen.
