SOMERVILLE -Thomas (Tom) Henry McLain, Sr. of Somerville, MA, passed away on July 29, 2023. Tom was born in Boston on December 28, 1950, to the late Marias and Mary (Cook) McLain. Tom graduated from Somerville Trade School in 1968. He had various jobs throughout the years until he retired, then returned to work part-time. Tom's hobbies included spending time with his wife, children, and five grandchildren. A few of Tom's fondest memories included a family trip to Dollywood, Memphis, and Nashville. Tom also enjoyed his summers at Ellis-haven Campground. He was also an avid tv watcher who enjoyed having a cup of tea while watching his beloved Hallmark Christmas movies and police shows. Tom is survived by his wife, Theresa of (Somerville), and his five children, Thomas Jr and Noelle of (Haverhill). Edward of (Hudson). Robert and Lindsi of (Bridgewater). Ashley and Amanda of (Providence). Joshua of (Somerville). His grandchildren include Emily, Callie, Julie, Oliver, and Kinsli. Tom was the brother of Francis, Barbara, Richard, Maureen, and Brian. As well as the late Rosemary, Arlene and Ann. He was also the uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 6, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Services will be offered Monday in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
