Thomas Edward
Kennedy, III
February 10, 1950 – June 14, 2026
Roma Restaurant
4:00 - 8:00 pm (Eastern time)
Thomas Edward Kennedy, III, the man, the myth, the legend. To know him was to love him. He had a powerful presence and loved to make others laugh.
A man of all trades, he worked as a fisherman, computer processor, English teacher, referee, truck driver, pea picker, film changer, metal worker, data base administrator, etc. etc.
He was a legend among family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. Always the life of the party - and there is always a reason to party! He loved to travel with his wife all around the world. Of all of the places he has traveled, his camp, on Millsfield Pond, was his favorite place to be, especially when it was "flat a$$ calm." He loved to ride around on his 4-wheeler or snowmobile visiting his friends at the other camps on the pond and going up north for hunting camp. A story-teller at heart, all that knew him knew his hilarious stories (that those close to him heard at least twice each time) and his Thom-isms.
Thomas had many loves throughout his life. He played softball in his younger years, darts his whole life, and volleyball later in life. He loved to read and had a large collection of movies he loved to watch.
He made friends everywhere he went, keeping in touch with his train friends long after retiring. He was an amazing neighbor, visiting "the cracker lady" daily and always lending a hand when he could and when he shouldn't have due to injuries. Nothing could hold him back from loving everyone and loving his life to the fullest.
Thomas is survived by his wife Mary Coleman, son Thomas and his wife Emilee, and daughter Tricia and her husband Bill; his grandchildren Claire and Clark; his sisters Phyllis, Betty Jean, Roooosemary, and Kathy; his brothers Robbie, Paul, and Michael. There are far too many nieces, nephews and cousins to list all the loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Margaret Kennedy, brothers John and Christopher. The amount of love does not fit into one obituary.
Celebration of Thomas's Life will be held on Friday, June 19, at the Roma Restaurant, 29 Middlesex Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to share stories, have a meal, and have the great party Thom would have wanted. Arrangements by Driscoll Funeral Home, Haverhill. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
