Thomas Rollin Hannon, Jr., 85, of Amesbury, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, surrounded loved ones.

Tom was born in Haverhill on August 6, 1941 the eldest child of Helen (Bryson) and Thomas Hannon. He held many jobs over his life including a job with the circus, truck driver, and ice cream man. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, reading and peaceful moments in nature. There was never a vehicle he couldn't fix, a problem he couldn't solve or a scenic route he wouldn't take. He lived life on his own terms striving to be honest, loyal and someone you could always count on.

When asked if there was anything he hoped to be remembered for he said simply "he cared".

Tom is survived by his daughter Emily (Hannon) Gagne, her husband Tony, and their sons Benjamin and Elliot; his daughter Jodie and family; and many friends in fellowship. He is predeceased by his parents, wife Allanah, brother Richard, grandson Calvin, and his nephew.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Words of Remembrance will begin at 6:30 PM.
