Thomas J. Albers, 89, of Derry, NH, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, September 3, 2026. He was born in Lawrence to Aurora (Violette) Dewhurst and Raymond Albers.

Educated in Lawrence Public Schools and entered the United States Air Force in 1954 for four years.

He was employed as a glazier for 38 years and retired from Ipswich Bay Glass Company of Rowley and was a member of the Boston Glaziers Union-Local 1044/35.

He loved vacationing and sightseeing in Hawaii, Canada, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Maine, and spent winters in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

His pastimes were working out at Planet Fitness, playing 45’s, boating, fishing, horseshoes and cornball. He enjoyed doing his own repairs and could fix almost anything.

Surviving family members include his wife Barbara; daughter Jean Albers of Bradford; sons Thomas Albers, Jr. and wife Linda of Sun City Center, FL and son Steven Albers; cherished granddaughters Denise Bergeron and husband Christopher of Ocala, FL and Kaitlyn Scarborough of Bradford; two adored great-grandchildren Blake and Rylee Bergeron; sisters in-law Dorothy Currier and Pat Moore and the late Janice Stewart; and cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. He predeceased by his sister Theresa and husband Stanley Dubois and brother Richard Baillargeon and wife Doris.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow with U.S. Air Force Honors in Ridgewood Cemetery, No. Andover.
