HAVERHILL - Theodore ("Teddy") Anastasakis passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2019 surrounded by his family.

He was born in 1955 in Sykea, a small village in Laconia, Greece, the third of six children, born to Panagiotis and Katina Anastasakis. At 13, he came to America join his father and two older sisters in Astoria, New York. There he went to school and worked in various New York restaurants. He then moved to Haverhill and managed the Dunkin Donuts at 614 Broadway, where he always greeted everyone with a warm smile and was gracious with his time and words. In Massachusetts he also met and married his wife, Nella. This week marked their fifteenth anniversary. His wife was with him through life's joys and challenges. Teddy was well-loved.

In addition to his Nella, he is survived by his brother Pericles in Greece and his four sisters and brother in-laws, Sophia and Petros Antonakos, Voula and Kostas Mavromihalis, Eleni and Angelos Tsagaris, and Matoula and Kostas Scrivanos. He had thirteen nieces and nephews in the US and Greece, all of whom he adored, celebrated, and treated as his own. He cared deeply about keeping close a family dispersed across the East Coast. His daily call sheet was longer than any politician's; he was the glue that kept the family together. He will be deeply missed and will remain in our hearts forever.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, September 30, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Services will begin Tuesday in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Funeral Service in the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154 Winter Street, Haverhill at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
