HAVERHILL - Susan M. Deminie, 58, longtime Haverhill resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2015.

Born in Amesbury to late William G. and Elizabeth A. (Collins) Deminie. She was raised in Merrimac's Little Chicago area, and a graduate of Whittier Vocational High School.

She worked for over 30 years as an Administrative Assistant for Northern Essex Mental Health which is now Lahey Health Behavioral Services, which she took great pride in her career.

Susan was the founder of the Mt. Washington Betterment Association, and had no greater joy in her life than spending time with her family.

Her surviving family members include her loving children, Jason Deminie and Jeremy Drapeau of Haverhill; siblings, Stephen Deminie of TX, Daniel Collins, Joseph Collins and Kathleen Scherbon Collins of Haverhill; three grandchildren, who will miss their Grammy very much; wife of the late Gary Drapeau.

"She was always doing something to help others."

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 2, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
