HAVERHILL: Steven A. White, 83, passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley,

Born in Haverhill on January 16, 1933, he was the son of the late Albert and Muriel (Stafford) White.

Steve served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force as a member of the 831 Air Police Squadron where he was responsible for guarding B-52 bombers and nuclear weapons. Steve was honorably discharged in 1963 with the rank of A2C. He worked as a temporary worker for Kelly Services and Manpower.
