West Newbury - Stephanie Rose Schutt, resident of West Newbury, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2013 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. She was the beloved wife of Michael B. Schutt and dedicated mother of Robyn T. Chesebrough.

Born in Arlington, MA, March 20, 1961, daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Lawn) Petrous of Arlington. She was a graduate of Arlington High School, class of 1979.

She retired from working with the government after 31 years of exceptional service as a budget analyst. She later joined PE Systems to continue her career as a financial analyst supporting the Electronic Systems Center at Hanscom Air Force Base. Her love of the Red Sox (especially Jason Varitek!) was only exceeded by her love of family and friends. Steph's beauty, inside and out, was evident to those she encountered. Her warm winsome spirit and hospitality always made others feel comfortable and special. She enjoyed relaxing backyard barbeques, floating in the pool on a bright sunny day, country music, and traveling to warm climates with her family and friends.

Her surviving family members include her loving husband, Michael B. Schutt; treasured daughter Robyn T. Chesebrough; brothers, James Petrous and Walter Benson of Hudson, FL, Anthony Petrous and his wife Nancy of Boxford; many dear-to-her-heart nieces and nephews; and predeceased by three sisters, Mary Anne Pugsley from Scituate, Helen Pugsley of Milton, and Sandra Carpinelli of Hudson, NH.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, March 23, beginning in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Bradford at 9:30 AM. Funeral Rites will be offered at the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Bridge Street Cemetery, West Newbury. Visitation will be held Friday in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street (Rte. 125), Bradford, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
