AMESBURY - After a brief illness, Sandra 'Sandy' H. Gilbert, age 65, of Amesbury, MA passed away on February 24, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Adelaide Gilbert and survived by her father Morton Gilbert; brother Jeffrey Gilbert and his wife Susan; sister Joanne Gilbert; brother David Gilbert and his wife Theresa; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Ebb Tide.

Sandy was raised in the family house on Point Shore, Amesbury and attended Amesbury Public Schools, graduating from Amesbury High School, Class of 1976. She attended junior college in Worcester, MA and received her Bachelors Degree from New England College in New Hampshire. Her love of all animals and a special caring for people led her to a career in Athletic Training on the collegiate level and a successful career in Retail Management and Customer Service.

Sandy's leisure time found her enjoying traveling, hiking, kayaking and spending time with her family, her many friends and her dogs Ebb Tide, Cadbury and Oliver.
