HAVERHILL - Sandra J. Callery, 71, of Bradford, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, June 10, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill.

Sandra was born in Newburyport on January 23, 1941, daughter of the late John A. and Marion E. (Hardy) Callery. Raised in her early years in Newburyport, Bradford has always been home to Sandra. She was home-schooled as a child.

Sandra enjoyed life and cherished the time spent with her friends. She traveled to many places with her parents as a child and with her close friends in the later years, including a special trip to Walt Disney World. Her other activities also included shopping, spending time at her home which she loved, enjoying some vanilla ice cream, but most of all she adored her precious cat, Annie.

Her surviving family members include her loving friend Pat MacLennan of Bradford, her cousin Sheila Callahan of Haverhill, and dear friends Bill Cox and Joel Gagnon of Haverhill; several other cousins and many loving friends including those at Sarah's Place.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, June 14, beginning in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Bradford at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main Street, Bradford at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Main Street, Groveland. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street (Rte. 125), Bradford, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sandra's memory to Sarah's Place, 180 Water Street, Haverhill, MA 01830.
