PLAISTOW, NH - Ruth Marie Santosuosso, 61, of Plaistow, NH, formerly of Lexington, passed away on February 19, 2020 after a long struggle with breast cancer. It would not be fair to say she lost her battle because no matter how sick she was, she never gave up.

Ruth was born in Cambridge on July 21, 1958 to the late Frank and Gloria Stankowski. She was a 1976 graduate of Lexington High School and a 30 year employee of Hewlett Packard/Philips Medical.

Survived by her loving husband of 42 years Benny J. Santosuosso, Sr; four children Benny J. Santosuosso, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Danville, NH, Crystal Santosuosso of Arlington, Nichole Santosuosso of Plaistow, NH, and Danielle Decastro and husband Hunter of Plaistow, NH; six grandchildren Michael and Matthew Santosuosso of Danville, NH, Landon Santosuosso of Plaistow, NH and Adrianna and Brooklyn Santosuosso and Calleigh Decastro of Plaistow, NH; siblings Joanie Favreau of Falmouth, Mia DiChaira of Hudson and Ralph Stankowski of Westborough. Ruth was predeceased by her siblings Frank Stankowski, Linda Sartori and Michael Stankowski.

Ruth enjoyed many things during her life but most of all she devoted herself to her children and grandchildren whom meant the world to her. Other hobbies Ruth enjoyed include traveling, spending time at the beach, playing Bunco, bowling, and dancing. Some of her favorite times were reminiscing and laughing at family gatherings. Visiting hours will be Sunday, February 23 in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday in St. Brigid Parish, 1981 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
