SANDOWN, NH: Russ A. Chabot, 49, died peacefully Friday July 20, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Chabot was the husband of Joni M. (Griffin) Chabot.

Born in Groveland, MA April 4, 1958, Mr. Chabot was the son of the late William G. and Janice L. (Goutier) Chabot. He was a 1976 graduate of Pentucket Regional High School and continued his education studying electronics at Northern Essex Community College. Following college he worked twenty-five years as a Senior Electrical Engineer at ATC Power System in Merrimack, NH.

Russ lived his life as one big adventure making certain to take as much away from every experience as possible. He enjoyed most anything outdoors from fishing and camping to skiing to boating. But most of all he loved being with his family.

He was the most loving and caring husband and father. Besides his wife of twenty-two years he is survived by his daughters Amanda Chabot and future son-in-law Jason Donahue, and Alyson Chabot both of Sandown; granddaughter McKenzy Donahue of Sandown; siblings Brenda Hurd and husband Doug of Georgetown, Terrie Bennett and husband Bruce of Groveland, Rande Chabot and wife Linda of Derry, NH, Gregg Chabot of Haverhill, Candie Valenzi of Sandown; several nieces and nephew including Zachary Griffin, and mother-in-law Patricia Griffin of Haverhill. He was the brother of the late Vickie Dick and Tracy Chabot.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Interment at St. Josephs Cemetery.
