Rose (Paone) Craine, born on October 1, 1923, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Craine, who predeceased her on June 23, 1990.

Born to Lena and Anthony Paone, Rose was raised in Haverhill, where she attended Smiley School and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1942.

Rose dedicated 35 years of service to AT&T, retiring in 1985. Throughout her life, she enjoyed staying active and was an enthusiastic participant in square dancing for many years. She also belonged to numerous clubs and treasured opportunities to travel, with memorable trips to Hawaii, Acapulco, Spain, and Rome.

She found great joy in gardening and was an avid bowler. Rose was also a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine of Jerusalem.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter in law, Janina Stodolski, and step-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Rose was predeceased by her son, Frank Craine; sister Marion Cherneski; her two brothers, and Joseph's wife, Nancy.

In accordance with Rose's wishes, there will be no visiting hours and no graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
