BRADFORD - Ronald F. McLennan, 58, of Bradford, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away on May 25, 2014 at the Cambridge Hospital.
Ronald was born in Boston on July 21, 1955, son of the late John and Jean (Otis) McLennan. He was raised in Tewksbury and attended Shawsheen Technical High School, Billerica.
Devoted husband of 19 years to Deidre M. (Sughrue) McLennan of Bradford.
Ronald and his wife lived in the Tewksbury and Billerica area for many years until recently moving to Bradford.
He was employed for 40 years with Charles River Laboratories, Wilmington, working with the Security Department.
Ronald's activities included spending time at their cottage on Beaver Lake in Derry, NH; an avid bowler and fisherman, he enjoyed many outdoor activities. He was passionate about supporting the Boston sports teams.
His surviving family members in addition to his wife include his loving daughters, Rebecca LaGrassa and husband Adam of Lowell and Emily McLennan and boyfriend Joe DeCarolis of Leominster; siblings, Ellen Reingold and partner Linda Morse of Haverhill, NH and Jack McLennan and wife Patricia of Tewksbury; in-laws, Michael Sughrue and wife Ginger of Bradford, Karen Browning and husband Alfred of Plaistow, NH; many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; brother in-law of the late Daniel Sughrue.
His funeral will be held Friday morning, May 30, beginning in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, (Rte. 125), Bradford at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main Street, Bradford at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
Visiting hours Thursday in the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
