HAVERHILL: Roberta M. (Sheehan) Hunter, 68, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at High Pointe Hospice House surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Roberta was born in Cambridge, MA on September 11, 1950 to the late Norman and Shirley (Nichols) Sheehan of Andover, and the late Anna Converse of Haverhill.
Roberta enjoyed sewing, casinos, camping at Tuxbury Pond and Encore Campground FL, and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and friends. Roberta was a social worker for more than 20 years, retiring in 2012, where she had worked at LARE Institute for many years.
Roberta, a widow, was married to loving husband Warren Hunter (2013) for 32 years. Roberta was loved and survived by her children, Laurie (Hunter) Mahoney and her husband Sean Mahoney of Manchester, NH, son, Phillip Hunter of Methuen, Paul Sheehan and his wife Maura (Welby) of North Andover, and Amanda (Hunter) Bentley and her husband Keith of Haverhill. Roberta, who was called "Amma", will be sadly missed by her 8 beautiful grandchildren, Madison, Ryleigh, Trevor, Addyson, Murphy, Jacob, Donovan and Brooke. Also among survivors are Roberta's brother, Michael Sheehan and his wife Mary Ellen of PA, sisters, Theresa (Converse) Falco, her husband Phil of Methuen and Tina (Converse) Gardella and her husband Sean of Haverhill. Roberta is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Roberta is predeceased by her brother, Paul Sheehan. There were many friends that Roberta considered family as well.
Friends and family may join in an open house celebration of Roberta's life at 2 Winston Circle, Haverhill, MA 01830 on Friday, November 23, 2018, between 4:00 and 7:00 pm.
