Robert
Marshall
January 24, 1939 – January 26, 2025
NEWBURYPORT - Robert M. Marshall, 86, of Newburyport, formerly of Andover, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 26, 2025. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Danielle, his sister Patty and his best friend Jim.
Born in Malden, MA on January 24, 1939, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Louise (Queeney) Marshall. He was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School. Bob joined the Army Reserves in 1962, alongside Jim. He was a graduate of New England School of Banking at Williams College and began his career in 1959. Bob loved the world of finance, moving his way up to Vice President at one of his financial institutions.
Bob enjoyed his road trips with Danielle, hosting Friday game nights with their friends, his daily phone chats with Patty and Jim, and spending time with his family. It was a regular comedy hour when you got Paul and Bob together. He loved reading, jazz and percussion music, the performing arts and of course, the Boston Bruins. Bob, like all Marshalls, was a world class conversationalist, giving financial advance to anyone that would lend an ear.
He will be dearly missed by his brother Paul; Deborah, Susan and Larry, Jeff and Dena, Wendy and Steve, Kelly and Joel, as well as many great-nieces and nephews.
His family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff at Advinia Care and Elara Caring for their compassionate care and support of Bob in his last few years.
Services with U.S. Army Honors will be held graveside on Friday, January 31, in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 185 Lake Street, Peabody at 11:00 AM.
