Robert T.
Lacroix, Sr.
May 21, 1959 – January 5, 2026
MANCHESTER, NH: With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" T. Lacroix, Sr., age 66, who passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Born in Methuen, MA on May 21, 1959, he was the beloved son of the late Roland and Lois (Lougee) Lacroix.
Bob was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1977, and continued his education at Northern Essex Community College. For more than 35 years, he was a talented, self-employed carpenter, widely regarded as a true "Jack of all trades." Known for his adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving skills, Bob had an exceptional ability to make things work, no matter the challenge.
A lifelong music lover, Bob enjoyed karaoke and playing the guitar, proudly considering himself an audiophile. In quieter moments, he found joy in drawing and tending to his vegetable garden, where he took special pride in perfecting his Japanese tomatoes. Bob had a deep love of animals and cared for various pets and farm animals throughout his life. Generous and kind-hearted, he was always willing to help a friend in need. Above all, Bob cherished time spent with his family and friends.
Bob loved camping, especially at Salisbury Beach Reservation and in the White Mountains at Covered Bridge, Hancock, and Big Rock. He particularly treasured his annual "Men's Camping" weekends with his brothers, cousins, and close friends. He was also well known locally for his time as a promotional actor for the Dos Equis Beer brand, portraying "The Most Interesting Man in the World" – a title many felt he genuinely embodied.
Bob is survived by his sons: Robert T. Lacroix, Jr. and wife Valerie of Andover, MA; Steven L. Lacroix of North Conway, NH; and Joseph W. Lacroix of Deerfield, NH. He is also survived by his siblings: Paul G. Lacroix and his wife Cheryl of Fernandina Beach, FL; Phillip R. Lacroix and his wife Patricia of Plaistow, NH; Richard S. Lacroix and his wife Karen of Sandown, NH; Carl A. Lacroix and his wife Lisa of Roanoke, VA; and his sister Alison L. (Lacroix) Caruso and her husband Tom of Littleton, NH. He is also survived by his former wife Tracey F. Lacroix of North Conway, NH; his four grandchildren, Vada, Otto, Robert, III, and Thomas; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his nephews, Paul "Greg", Scott, Caleb, and Colten.
