Haverhill: Robert J. Gagnon, 63, formerly of Lowell, died peacefully on February 7, 2013 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital.

Born in Lowell on January 3, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Mary R. (Meehan) Gagnon.

"Robbie", as he was known to all, was educated at St. Peter's School, and went on to the Great Lakes Naval Academy in Michigan. He also worked as a roofer along side his father and brother. Robbie loved to be working and helping out where he could. He enjoyed sports, conversation and his family. He also loved going to Santoro's for subs and Elliot's for hot dogs. Robbie was a sweet soul who will be missed by all.

He is survived by two brothers, Gary Gagnon and his wife Diana of Littleton, Sean Gagnon of Plymouth; sisters, Kathleen Oliveira and her husband Thomas of Dracut, Maryann Kanteles and her fianc David Texeira of Lowell; brother-in-law, Richard C. Luther of Lowell, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Gagnon, two sisters, Colleen Luther, Gail Gagnon, and niece, Kerry Ann Oliveira.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his committal service on Tuesday, February 19that 1:00 p.m. in the St. Patrick Cemetery Chapel. At the family's request there will be no calling hours. Arrangements under the direction of Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill.
