Haverhill: Robert L. Dierauer, 82, died March 18, 2011 at Merrimack Valley Hospital.

Born in Haverhill on June 8, 1928, Mr. Dierauer was the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth A. (True) Dierauer.

Following his graduation from Haverhill High School he continued his education graduating from Bryant & Stratton Business School in Boston. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific as a Boat Coxswain before his honorable discharge in 1948. Mr. Dierauer had a long career at Western Electric before retiring in 1984. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Bradford and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Mr. Dierauer is survived by his first cousin Katharine"Kay" Drolet and her husband Gene of Exeter, NH and several second cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Bradford. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
