HAVERHILL - Robert "Bob" DeSando, 59, passed away Sunday, February 12 at St. Vincent's Hospital after a short illness.

Bob was born on November 26, 1957 to his parents Robert C. and Catherine A. (Emerson) DeSando of Haverhill. He was a lifelong resident of the City.

He went to Whittier Vo-Tech and graduated in 1976. After graduation Bob was employed by Lucent Technologies where he worked for many years. He was also a courier for a few local businesses.

Bob loved to bowl. He bowled for many years at the St. Joseph's bowling league.

He is survived by his mother Catherine and sister Laurie A. LaPlante and her husband Larry all of Haverhill. Bob also leaves a niece Casey LaPlante and nephew Corey LaPlante and a very special dog Snoopy who he loved very much. He is predeceased by his father Robert C. and his brother Jeffrey.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 16, in the Driscoll Funeral Home 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Bob will be laid to rest in his family lot in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. For online guestbook, please visit www.driscollcares.com
