Obituary

Richard M. McNeil, 76, died Saturday evening at The Oxford. Mr. McNeil was the husband of Twanda (Kahigian) McNeil.

Born in Portsmouth, NH July 10, 1931, Mr. McNeil was the son of the late Louis and Etta Mae (Mason) McNeil.

Mr. McNeil was educated in NH and graduated from Portsmouth High School class of 1951. He had served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and was discharged as a PFC in 1955. He had worked ten years as a route driver for the Hood Company, worked in the maintenance department at the Haverhill High School, and lastly as a maintenance worker at the U.S. Postal Service in Plaistow, NH until his retirement. He was a member of St. Johns Lodge #1, F. & A.M. of Portsmouth and the Portsmouth Country Club.

Beside his wife of twenty-seven years he is survived by his brother Lewis McNeil, Jr. and his wife Rita of Portsmouth, NH; two nieces; and his extended family Michele Stork and her husband Bryan of Ft. Myers, FL and their daughter Taylor Stork.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral Wednesday 4:00 p.m. at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. At the familys request there will be no calling hours. Private interment at Central Cemetery in Rye, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 350 Main Street, Haverhill, MA 01830.
