METHUEN - Richard J. Lucas, 68, entered eternal rest with the Lord on February 14, 2021.

Richard was born in Lawrence, MA to the late Leonard Lucas and Claire (Hart) Lucas.  After graduating from Lawrence High School in 1971, Richard first took a job at Cabot Corporation in Billerica, MA and then spent the next 40 years working at Parker Hannifin Corp in Haverhill, MA.  He loved football and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.  In his younger years, Richard enjoyed running, biking and playing basketball.

Richard is survived by his wife Geraldine of 39 years; son Adam and his fiancé Tracy Whitford of Methuen; brother Leonard Lucas and wife Margaret of Nashua, NH; sister Sandra Lucas and her spouse Judith Donahue of Cape Cod, MA; sister Linda Heinz and her husband Richard of East Hampstead, NH; brother James Lucas and wife Debbie of Chelmsford, MA; and brother of late Robert ("Cy") Lucas and his surviving wife Cathy of Canterbury, NH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment will take place at Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of Richard's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306 ( www.tunnel2towers.org ).
