Obituary

HAVERHILL - Richard "Slick Rick" Leo, 45, passed away, Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Holy Family Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Rick was born on January 14, 1972, to the late Anthony and Edna (Hicks) Leo of Haverhill. He was a lifelong resident of the city.

He graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1990. Following his graduation, he was employed by the Carpenters Union local 111 and later went on to own his own construction company, Leo Builders and Sons. In addition to his construction career, Rick was passionate about wildlife and animals as he volunteered to rebuild the Eagle House of the Maine Wildlife Sanctuary. Rick also volunteered for Project Pawsitive, an organization that renovates animal shelters. Rick also enjoyed motocross, cars, kayaking and playing guitar.

He had a larger than life personality and was always the life of the party. Rick had a smile that would light up a room and will be greatly missed by all that love him.

Rick is survived by his loving children Brittny McIntire and husband Clifton of Haverhill, Anthony Leo, Michael Leo, Samuel Leo and their mother and longtime companion Vicky Ricart of Derry; also leaves siblings Curt Leo, Tony Leo, John McManus and wife Kathleen and Judy Leo; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 22, in St. John the Baptist Church, 110 Lincoln Ave., Haverhill at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours will be Tuesday in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
