BEVERLY- Richard Anthony Fonti, died Friday July 24, 2015, peacefully at Beverly hospital following a brief illness.

Born on February 2, 1933 in Everett, Ma. He was the son of Luigi Fonti of Raino Aquila, Italy and Ermina Fonti (Scaravallo) of Abruzzi, Italy. Richard grew up in Everett, Ma and graduated high school. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955 and was honorably discharged from the 66th MP Company as a Private First class. He was an active army reservist. He was employed by the General Electric Company in Lynn for many years as a machinist before retiring to his home in Beverly. His personality and humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife Ethel Fonti, his son Tony Fonti, his two brothers Rocco and Rudolph Fonti, a sister Ginevra Riggi and many nieces and nephews.

By the request of Mr. Fonti, there will be no funeral or visiting hours. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
