HAVERHILL - Richard "Dick" Brigham passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home in North Miami Beach, FL on April 5, 2017.
He was born in Haverhill, son of the late William H. Brigham, Sr. and Rose M. (Quatrale) Brigham. Dick was raised and educated in Haverhill and attended Tilton School, Haverhill High School, and The University of Lowell. He marched in the Tilton School Drum & Bugle Corps. and the Sons of Italy Band, and was a lifetime member of the Sons of Italy Association. He was a member of St. Rita's Parish, and served in the United States Army. While at St. Rita's Parish, he was an alter server and participated in many St. Anthony processions. He spent many years employed as a quality assurance engineer at Raytheon, Avco, and Stone & Webster. Dick enjoyed summers at Salisbury Beach with many family and friends. When he moved to Florida, he continued his love for the beach year-round! He loved a good game of 45's and trips to casinos. His passion was going on cruises, traveling to many different countries, and making fond memories. He will be missed to all who knew him.
Dick is survived by his partner, Tim; children Kathleen Brigham and Patrick Brigham; grandson Zachary Brigham; sister Joyce (Brigham) Santoro; sisters in-law Maria Arasi and Ria Brunton; and long-time friend Hector Brugnani; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Nicoletta (Bonvino), daughter Debra Brigham and brother William H. Brigham, Jr.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, April 20 in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 So. Main Street, Haverhill at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
