Kinney, Jr.

BOXFORD, MA: Raymond J. "Jack" Kinney, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully at his home of July 26, 2023 surrounded by those he loved. He was the husband of Kathryn (Sinclair) Kinney to whom he had been married for fifty-eight years.
Born in Georgetown on April 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Raymond J. Sr. and Virginia L. (Tracy) Kinney.
Jack graduated from Perley High School, Georgetown and continued his education at the University of Maine Orono where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served as a pilot in the United States Marine Corps before his honorable discharge in 1966.
Jack was a successful investment broker. Loving every day of his work, his career spanned forty-three years with several Boston brokerage houses, before his retirement from Deutsche Bank Alex Brown. He was an active volunteer in his community including being a former board member of The Trustees of Reservations and former trustee of Shore Country Day School, Beverly. He has a deep interest in and love of nature, fly fishing, reading, bee keeping, travel, music, and especially sports car road trips with friends. Most of all, he loved the time with his family.
In addition to his wife of Kathy, Jack is survived by his children, Tracy E. Kinney of Boxford, Matthew S. Kinney of Beacon, NY, Zachary S. Kinney and his wife Elizabeth of Los Angeles, CA, Joshua M. Kinney of Beijing, China; five adored grandchildren; beloved sisters, Judith E. Coombs and her husband David of Laconia, NH and Joan E. Dole of Seabrook, NH and Largo, FL.
Arrangements under the direction of Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main St., Haverhill will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to Ipswich River Watershed Assoc., 143 County Road, Ipswich, MA 01938, The Trustees of the Reservations, 200 High St., Boston, MA 02110, the Christian Science Society of Andover, 278 N.
