Obituary

HAVERHILL - Ralph DiVincenzo, 101, a proud World War II Veteran of the United States Navy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23rd, with his loved ones by his side.

Ralph was born July 8th, 1922 to the late Giovanni and Maria (Parisse) DiVincenzo. He was a longtime Bradford resident.

In 1944, at the age of 18, Ralph enlisted in the United States Navy. He served as a Seaman First Class in World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946 and received the American World War II Victory medal. Ralph valued his service highly and shared many stories with his family.

Ralph spent many years working as a marker maker at the shoe factory in Haverhill. Once he retired, he and his wife enjoyed spending their days together, visiting with family "up north," and taking trips to Atlantic City. Ralph enjoyed crossword puzzles and would play his numbers daily.

Ralph leaves behind his son, John DiVincenzo and his wife Jane; his grandchildren, Tania DiVincenzo, Angela DiVincenzo and her fiancé Scott, and Amber Ricker; his great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Dominic Tannian, his sister, Sandra Hills, as well as close family Ronni Ann (Ricker) Summerton and her husband Glen, and their children Sarah and Brent Summerton, and several nieces and nephews, Dr. Cheryl Hills, Michael Hills, Karen Hills, Maria Pepin, Sandra Gauron, and Jeanne DiVincenzo, plus several great nieces and nephews. He was sadly predeceased by his siblings Alice Howard, Nilda Herrick, Emilio DiVincenzo and Loreto DiVincenzo.

In addition to his parents and siblings, Ralph is reunited in heaven with his wife of 74 years, Peggy, and his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa (DiVincenzo) and Ronald Ricker.
