Haverhill: Phyllis J. Viera, 69, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2016 at Methuen Health & Rehabilitation Center,

Born on June 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Francis P. and Juanita (Moore) Viera.

Following graduation from high school in Georgetown, Phyllis continued her education, and graduated from Chandler Business School in Boston. She then began a full and rewarding thirty year career as Administrative Assistant in the movie production industry where she played an active role in several major motion pictures. Following that endeavor she worked five years as a reservation clerk for Delta Airlines.

Phyllis was active in the Pop Warner Football League as Treasurer for the Hampstead Wildcats.

Phyllis is survived by her sister, Anne Barney and husband Bob of Bradford, and their children, Lorraine Carboni, Nicholas Cassotis and Stephanie Gauthier; brother, James F. Viera and his wife Barbara of Georgetown, and their children, Lisa Lawson, Barbara Hatch, Catherine Akerman. Phyllis resided with her niece Stephanie Gauthier and her late husband Eric, and their sons Corey & Alex.

Arrangements under the direction of Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill will be private. At the family's request there will be no calling hours.
