Haverhill: Philip W. Pierce, 47, passes away suddenly at his home on August 18, 2011.

Born in Haverhill on April 16, 1964, he was the son of the late John R. and Carrie E. (George) (Pierce) Berry.

Philip attended Haverhill High School and earned his GED will serving with the US Army. Philip worked in the maintenance department of Walmart. He enjoyed fishing, driving his truck, and, in years past, working on the family farm in Haverhill.

Philip is survived by his son, Philip Pierce; sister, Lisa Marie Pierce and her fiance Raymond LaChapelle of Bradford, and his longtime companion Kelly McPherson of Haverhill. Philip was the brother of the late Robert E. Pierce.

At the family's request arrangements at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill will be private.
