Peter G. Eldridge, 83, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Beverly, MA, son of the late Joseph Eldridge and Muriel (Gould) Eldridge. He spent many years living in Hamilton-Wenham and Salem before making his home in Haverhill.

Peter was the beloved husband of the late Judith (Bernard) Eldridge. He worked in the food warehouse industry until 1993, when he became disabled.

Peter found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved camping, listening to music, traveling with family and friends, and attending Tuesday night bingo. Above all, Peter had a lifelong passion for car racing, which remained one of his favorite pastimes throughout his life.

Peter is survived by his children Michael P. Eldridge and his wife Janet of Rockport, Anne-Marie Desrocher and her husband James, Jr., of Haverhill; brothers Frank Eldridge of Wenham, Bobby Eldridge of FL and Richard "Dicky" Eldridge and his wife Janet of Beverly; five cherished grandchildren Krystal Bainter and her husband Jason, Christopher Sheldon, Nicholas Desrocher, Angelique Eldridge and Jacqueline Eldridge. He was also the proud great-grandfather of two beloved great-granddaughters. In addition he is survived by several nieces and nephew.

Predeceased by parents and his brother Joey Eldridge.

Peter will be remembered for his love of family, his kind heart, and the many memories he created with those he loved. His warmth, sense of humor, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 24, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Private family interment will take place in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
