HAVERHILL - Mrs. Persia Mendez, 91, of Haverhill, formerly of the Dominican Republic, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019. She was the loving wife of the late Gustavo Mendez.

Persia is survived by eight children, Gustavo Mendez of Haverhill, Zoa Mendez of Haverhill, Constancia Mendez, Octavia Mendez, Guillermo Mendez, Violeta Mendez, Enrique Mendez and Janet Mendez; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, January 16 in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Services will begin Thursday in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. James Church, 185 Winter Street, Haverhill at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
