HAVERHILL - Pelagia Sialatis, 81, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2013 at her residence.

Born in Kaloni, Grevena, Greece on July 26, 1932, daughter of late Athanasios and Afroditi (Zahos) Kotsalis. Loving wife of that late Andrew Sialatis who passed in 2011. She and her husband began to raise their family in Greece before coming to the United States in 1974. Settling in Haverhill, she worked for many years as a stitcher for the Samuel Roberts Co. of Haverhill.

Mrs. Sialatis will be remembered as a caring woman; she enjoyed cooking for her family every Sunday; tending to her flowers; most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Sialatis was a member of the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Haverhill. She was involved for many years with the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society.

Her surviving family members include her devoted children, Eugenia Al-Ziab and her husband Hussien of Haverhill and Apostolos Sialatis and his wife Maryann of Haverhill; grandchildren, Husam Al-Ziab, Dina Al-Ziab, Akram Al-Ziab, Samie Al-Ziab, Andrew Sialatis and Christopher Sialatis; sister of Olimbia Koulios of Greece; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her Funeral will be held Friday morning, November 22, beginning in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street at 9:00 AM. Funeral Service in the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154-156 Winter Street, Haverhill at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Mill Street, Haverhill.

Calling hours will be Thursday in the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
