HAVERHILL - Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved father. Orlando Madera Vásquez was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic on April 16, 1935 to the late Orlando Madera Guzman and Ana Julia Vasquez. He was an avid TV and radio repairman until 1994. At a very young age he became a Christian and since then, his faith played an important part of his life.

This past Monday October 31, 2022 he took his last breath on earth but his first in heaven in the arms of the Lord. He spent his last days at home in Haverhill, MA. Our dad loved reading his Bible in the sunroom with a cup of coffee. He enjoyed playing dominoes with his kids in the evenings, listening to mariachi music, and eating anything sweet.

Orlando was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his brother, Mario, and his sisters Fellita, Irma, and Gladys. His children: Dinorah, Yolanda, Fiordaliza, Orlando, Miguel, Jackeline, Elvis, Maritza, Danisse, Jose Miguel, Mary Helen, Yaritza, Johanna, Dawel, and Marilyn. His grandkids: Rachel, Israel, Dayana, Edinson, Eduard, Aquiles, Michael, Charleny, Chantal, Junior, Brian, Audrey, Evelyn, Edwardo, Ashton, Ashley, Genesis, Jean Carlos, Jireh, David, Daniel, Alaia, Amy, and Aleen. And great grandkids Jonas and Emma. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Emilio, Miguel, and Octavio; his daughter, Maria Mercedes, and grandson, Jamal.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 PM. Nuestra familia está desconsolada al anunciar el fallecimiento de nuestro amado padre. Orlando Madera Vásquez nació en La Vega, República Dominicana, el 16 de abril de 1935, sus padres fueron Orlando Madera Guzmán y Ana Julia Vásquez. Hábil reparador de televisores y radios hasta 1994. A una edad muy temprana aceptó a Jesucristo y desde entonces, su fe jugó una parte importante de su vida.

Este pasado lunes 31 de octubre de 2022 tomó su último aliento en la tierra, pero el primero en el cielo en los brazos del Señor. Pasó sus últimos días en su casa en Haverhill, MA. Nuestro papá amaba leer su Biblia en la terraza con una taza de café. Le gustaba jugar dominó con sus hijos por las noches, escuchar música de mariachi y comer cualquier cosa dulce.

Orlando fue bendecido con una familia numerosa y amorosa. Le sobreviven su hermano Mario y sus hermanas Fellita, Irma y Gladys. Sus hijos: Dinorah, Yolanda, Fiordaliza, Orlando, Miguel, Jackeline, Elvis, Maritza, Danisse, Jose Miguel, Mary Helen, Yaritza, Johanna, Dawel y Marilyn. Sus nietos: Rachel, Israel, Dayana, Edinson, Eduard, Aquiles, Michael, Charleny, Chantal, Junior, Brian, Audrey, Evelyn, Edwardo, Ashton, Ashley, Genesis, Jean Carlos, Jireh, David, Daniel, Alaia, Amy, y Aleen. Sus bisnietos Jonás y Emma. Le precedieron en la muerte sus hermanos: Emilio, Miguel y Octavio; su hija María Mercedes y su nieto Jamal.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 4 de noviembre en Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill, de 5:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. El Servicio de Oración comenzará a las 7:00 PM.
