Obituary

HAVERHILL - Morris J. Piccolo, 88, lifelong resident of Haverhill passed away peacefully on Sunday surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly.

Morris was born on Washington Street in Haverhill on August 24, 1929 to Joseph and Maria Piccolo of Sicily. He attended Haverhill schools and graduated from Haverhill Trade School in 1947. From there, he moved on to serve his country in the US Army. Morris graduated from Merrimack College in 1959 with a degree in business and went on to become a master plumber, a successful real estate agent, and served as the plumbing inspector of Haverhill for many years. Morris shared a marriage of 59 years with his loving wife Barbara, who passed away late last year.

Morris was very involved in his community and shared his life with everyone that he encountered. He received the LIONS highest honor of the Melvin Jones award for his excellent, lifetime service in the Haverhill club. Morris was also an original member of the Italian Serenaders, an Italian singing group who brought the gift of song to the community and performed throughout the United States for well over 30 years. His Italian heritage was of no secret to those who knew him. He was an excellent Italian cook, and served many lunches at Olde Town Piccolo Realty, where everyone was welcome. Morris accomplished many things in his beautiful life. He gave, he loved, he sang, he visited the sick, he volunteered his time and talents to those in need, and most importantly, never asked for anything in return. He was an incredible man, good and true to everyone he met. Morris brought a joy to this world that was truly one of a kind, he was a friend to all, loyal and forgiving.

Morris was predeceased by his cherished wife Barbara.
