NORTH READING - michaelofJESUS p gallagher of Reading, MA, was born in Newark NJ, May 7, 1947 and entered Paradise and the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ On February 18, 2016 He leaves his wife of 10 months, Claudia J. Johnson Gallagher of Reading, MA, two sons Sean Gallagher, of Hudson, NH and Brendan Gallagher, address unknown, the mother of their children Diane Gallagher of Peabody, MA and one grandson Christian Gallagher of Crotchet Mountain, NH. His parents and brother who preceded him in death were Francis Thomas Gallagher of Jacksonville, FL and Louise Marie Rodriguez Pappacena Gallagher Sahrbeck Krull of Hadley, PA and his brother, David Creighton Gallagher of W. Keansburg, NJ

michaelofJesus graduated from St. Joseph College in Jersey City, NJ in 1969 with a degree in Political Science specializing in U.S. Constitutional Law & History and U.S. and Soviet Foreign Policy. In 1979 he graduated from Boston University with a Master's Degree in Counseling Education and Psychology.

He was a Licensed Certified Social Worker specializing in sexual and physical abuse cases for over 20 years.

As a young man in high school and college he was a member of the Students for a Democratic Society, became an Anti-War organizer and a draft register counselor, was a Union Organizer for the United Farm Workers Union and Chapter 1199 of the National Union of Hospital and Nursing Home employees. During these years he met and had breakfast with Dr, Martin Luther King and was a body guard for Ceasar Chavez.

michaelof JESUS, when well, was an avid bicycle rider, swimmer, hiker and loved camping. He also loved history, watercolor painting, growing herbs indoors, and cooking his Italian grandfather's recipes. When he surrendered his life to Jesus on July 29, 2010 he devoted much of his time to studying the bible, prayer, fellowship with other believers and just being in the presence of God. Mostly he had a deep desire to share with others what God had done for him. If allowed, he would pray for people for healing and salvation. He was a generous man, with a kind heart filled with gratitude and love. In 2015 michaelofJESUS became a vital member of Trinity Evangelical Church in North Reading, MA and married Claudia. on April 26, 2015.
