Michael
Moody
September 10, 1960 – December 12, 2023
HAVERHILL - Michael W. 'Mike' Moody, 63, died December 12, 2023, after a long illness. He was the loving husband of Karen (L'Heureux) Moody and father to John and Stephen Moody.
Mike was born in Baltimore, MD to Nola and the late Harry Moody, and was raised on the North Shore, later moving to Haverhill to raise his family.
He was a doting dad to his twin sons, watching them play in countless baseball and football games and coaching them in Little League. The boys' participation in baseball took the family on road trips, including a memorable visit to Cooperstown and the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Mike enjoyed playing golf and watching the Red Sox and Patriots. His happy place was in a boat on Pattee Pond, fishing with his cousin Bruce. He was a skilled fisherman and landed countless "big ones" over the years.
His work in the semiconductor industry afforded Mike the opportunity to travel to Japan, China, Taiwan, and Germany. Most recently, he was employed by the Haverhill Housing Authority.
In addition to his wife and sons, Mike is survived by his mother Nola and stepfather James Simeoni; brother David, all of Readfield, ME; sisters Kimberly Willis of Livermore Falls, ME and Mia Simeoni of Augusta, ME; brothers J. Thomas of Livermore Falls, ME and Kevin of Brunswick, ME. He is also survived by his L'Heureux in-laws and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mike will be sorely missed by all who loved him. The family would like to thank the staff at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham & Women's Hospital for the compassionate care given to Mike.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 6:00 PM. Services will begin at 6:00 PM.
