Michael James
Sullivan
September 22, 1962 — July 15, 2026
Haverhill
Michael James Sullivan, 63, of Haverhill, MA, passed away peacefully on July 15, following a long illness, surrounded by his loving family and the compassionate staff at Lakeview House in Haverhill.
Born on September 22, 1962, in Haverhill, Mike was the son of the late William C. and Margaret M. (Magee) Sullivan. He attended Haverhill Public Schools and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1981, where he played football—a passion he shared with his brothers that helped inspire his family's lifelong love of the game. Mike was especially close to his late brother, William P. ("Billy") Sullivan, whose memory remained an important part of his life.
Throughout his career, Mike explored many different opportunities, but his greatest passion was always automobiles. Early on, he built limousines at Royal Limousine in Haverhill before later enjoying a career selling cars. His enthusiasm for automobiles extended far beyond his work. From childhood through adulthood, he built an impressive collection of model cars that reflected both his knowledge and lifelong appreciation for classic automobiles.
Mike spent most of his life in Haverhill but cherished every opportunity to escape to New Hampshire, especially during summers at Lake Shore Park in Gilford. Some of his happiest memories were made on Lake Winnipesaukee, where he spent decades boating with family and friends and could often be found enjoying one of his favorite pastimes—riding his jet ski.
Mike will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and genuine love of being around people. He had a gift for making others feel welcome, and his easygoing nature, sense of humor, and infectious enthusiasm made lasting friendships wherever he went. Above all else, he loved his family and treasured the time they spent together.
Mike is survived by his brothers Kevin Sullivan of Gilford, NH and Kevin's sons Liam and Quinn; brother Keith Sullivan of Gilford, NH; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 5:00 to 7:00PM.
