It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family and friends of Michael Grammont announce his passing into eternal rest after a hard-fought battle with Lymphoma. Michael left this world as he lived, full of hope.

Michael was adopted by his loving parents Lucien and Doris Grammont of Lawrence through the Sisters of St. Francis in Montreal in 1955. He grew up on Tower Hill in Lawrence and attended Lawrence Public Schools from which he graduated in 1973. Michael attended ITT Technical Institute and was employed at Sylvania Tech until his retirement. He then cared for his elderly parents with love and devotion.

Michael was a fervent advocate for the unborn. His unwavering devotion to God’s tiny creations was expressed daily through his Catholic faith. His efforts throughout the years brought a deep awareness of the unalienable rights of human life and the love that God has for his children, be they born or unborn. His tireless work for the littles will be honored by the many lives that were saved and the infallible evidence of love. Michael also authored what started out as a small online bible study, which eventually flourished into thousands of members from all over the World. Legacy mattered to Michael and his life reflected that principle every day.

He was a strong conservative, Michael met people from near and far through his efforts to uphold the constitution and ensure people were educated in the political process while recognizing the value of electing godly officials. Michael stood for many righteous causes and loved his country, a true patriot in every sense of the word. Michael was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and certainly enjoyed a glass of fine red wine. His quiet persona was not indicative of his fiery passion for life and his mission.

Michael was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. May he rest in peace.

Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held on Sunday, September 27, at Granite United Church, 15 Union Street, Entrance B, Lawrence at 1:00 PM. Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, October 24, in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel of Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main Street, Haverhill at 8:00 AM.
