HAVERHILL - Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and companion, Maureen Ann (Bodenrader) Cobbett, passed away peacefully at the Prescott House in North Andover, Massachusetts on May 29, 2022, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Maureen was born on April 23, 1948. She was a long-time resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts before settling in Haverhill fifteen years ago. Her greatest joy was her family, a smile always in place when any one of them was present. She loved to cook her famous pernil roast during the holidays, and make her delicious potato salad for all the summer gatherings. In almost every recent picture of her, you'll find any one of her grandchildren in her lap. Her heart was huge, and loving, and deeply sentimental, which will be missed and remembered by so many.

Maureen is survived by her fiancé and loving companion of over thirty years, Richard Brown of Haverhill, MA, as well as her former spouse Don Cobbett, Sr., with whom she shared seven children:  William Legare and his wife Terry of Fremont, NH, Stephen Legare and his wife Elaine of Hillsborough, NH, Douglas Legare and his wife Michelle of Haverhill, MA, Don Cobbett, Jr. (deceased), Keith Cobbett and his fiancée Becky of Hillsborough, NH, Craig Cobbett and his wife Nanette of Lyman, ME, and her only daughter, Kelly Burns and her husband Alfred of Hudson, NH. She also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren - Billy, Crissy, Adam, Mikey, Haley, Felicia, Tyler, Tommy, Kyle, Leanna, Jacob, Ryan, Lauren, Evan, Brooklyn, and Londyn, as well as three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Juliana and Jameson, each one lighting up her life in their own special way. She will be greatly missed by all of them.  She also leaves behind her adored older brother, Augustine 'Butch' Bodenrader of Florida, and his extended family.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, Augustine and Josephine Bodenrader; her sister, Anne Chretien; and her son, Don Cobbett Jr. It gives us comfort and peace to know she has been reunited with them.
