HAVERHILL - Mary C. (Szewczuk) Sullivan, 87, of Haverhill, formerly of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Friday March 22, 2013 at the Penacook Place Nursing Home in Haverhill.

Born in Dedham, on May 8, 1925, the youngest of four children of the late Joseph and Caroline (Nawrocki) Szewczuk. Raised in Dedham, she attended local schools and graduated from Dedham High School.

She settled in Peabody and lived there for many years as a devoted mother and homemaker until recently moving to Haverhill to be closer to her family. Cherished wife of 62 years of the late Eugene A. Sullivan of Haverhill, formerly of Peabody who passed on July 13, 2012. She enjoyed playing bingo and frequent trips to Atlantic City and Foxwoods with her husband and friends.

Her surviving members include her loving son, Patrick J. Sullivan and his wife Kathleen of Bradford; grandchildren, Mary Katherine Sullivan, Carlene Sullivan and Daniel Sullivan all of Bradford; sister Anne (Szewczuk) McCarty of Norwood; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Frances Kudless, and brother, Joseph Sheff.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27 in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, (Rte. 125), Bradford from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.

Funeral services will be privately held on Thursday, March 28 with Catholic Funeral Rites being offered in the Sullivan family lot in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
