HAVERHILL: Mary E. (Eastman) King, 100, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2020 at Ivy Hill Court in Haverhill. She was the wife of the late Arthur King.
Born in Franklin, NH on October 27, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth S. and Hazel E. (Huntoon) Eastman.
Mary was educated in Andover, NH, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire completing courses as a dietician. She worked several years in the food service department at both Colby Sawyer College and Dartmouth College. Mary also worked in food service for the Middleton school department. Following retirement Mary volunteered at the Haverhill Public Library where repaired books in the rare book department. She supported her daughters while they were in Brownies, and enjoyed cooking, and preparing holiday meals for her family.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Wanda Gauvin and husband Mike of Florida, Beverly A. Wild of Effingham, NH; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, George Eastman of Goffstown, NH.
