Obituary

HAVERHILL: Marjorie Cotton passed away peacefully on January 6, 2020 at High Pointe House in Haverhill.
Born in Haverhill on September 10, 1922, Miss Cotton was the daughter of the late Percy and Florence J. (Grater) Cotton.
Miss Cotton was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1940. She also attended MacIntosh Business School. She worked for Imperial Cleaners for 25 years before joining the C.F. Jameson Company, where she was a bookkeeper for 22 years.
She was a longtime member of First Church of Christ (White Church) in Bradford. Miss Cotton enjoyed crafts, baking, and gardening and loved watching the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots with her beloved cat Brady.
Miss Cotton is survived by her nephews, Thomas W. Cotton and his wife Rhonda of Harvard, MA, David R. Cotton and his wife Karen of Manalapan, NJ; niece, Jane F. Robbertz and her husband Anthony of Acton; and many grandnephews and grandnieces. She was the sister of the late Donald W. Cotton, Doris M. Boyd, and Roland T. Cotton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at 10:00 a.m. to be followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill followed by interment at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Miss Cotton's memory may be made to MSPCA at Nevins Farm, Attn: Angels for Animals Fund, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
