Haverhill: Marion P. "Barbie" (Paone) Chernesky, 90, passed away on August 17, 2012 at Wingate at Haverhill. She was the wife of the late Peter J. Chernesky.

Born in Haverhill on February 17, 1922, Mrs. Chernesky was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lena G. (Kaplan) Paone. She was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School. Following graduation she moved to Baltimore, MD and obtained employment at the State Department. She also worked for the Department of Engraving, the Mint, and transferred to the Treasury, retiring as the Assistant to the Chief of the U.S. Treasury.

Mrs. Chernesky leaves her caregiver and sister Rose "Dolly" Craine of Haverhill; brother, Joseph Paone of Ipswich, and a niece and two nephews.

Arrangements by Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Interment at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton, PA.
