METHUEN - Maria A. (Petteruti) LiCausi, longtime Methuen resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Roccamonfina, Caserta, Italy, daughter of Silvio and Adelina (Sanantonio) Petteruti. Maria fondly remembered growing up in the beautiful town of Roccamonfina and playing amongst the chestnut trees she adored. She immigrated to Lawrence as a trained seamstress and married her beloved husband Joseph, which they shared many years of loving marriage together until his passing in 2000. Maria was a devout Catholic who cherished her family above all else. She was a loving and caring woman who will be greatly missed.

Her surviving family members include her adored children Frances Gosselin of Atkinson, NH, John LiCausi and Carlo LiCausi of Methuen; grandchildren Belinda Juan, Nina Gosselin, Joey Gosselin, Jamie Ventrillo and Ciara LiCausi; great-granddaughter Kim; sisters Eva Cianci of Canada and Titina Petteruti of Italy; and several nieces and nephews; sister of the late Contardo Petteruti, Irene Petteruti and Pina de Frenza.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, July 25, in the Driscoll Funeral Home 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Services will begin Friday morning in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
