SALEM, NH: Margery G. (George) Saltzman, 89, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2016 at Salemhaven Nursing Center.

Born in Haverhill on August 3, 1926 Margery was the daughter of the late Delbert O. and Minnie A. (Libby) George.

Margery worked for many years as a fabricator in the local shoe industry, after which she worked sixteen years as an assembler at the former AT&T before retiring in 1990. She was a longtime and faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and assisted at the church's famous ham & bean suppers.

One of seven children, Margery is survived by her daughter, Michel Saltzman of Ocala FL; grandchildren, Season S. Hitchcock and her husband Russell of Salem, NH, Michael Emery and his wife Elise of Lake City, FL; great grandchildren, Hannah Hitchcock, Brooke and Michala Emery; great great grandson, Liam Emery; sister, Ruth Jardine and her husband Charles of Haverhill; several nieces and nephews; former son-in-law Hollis Emery and his wife Cindy of Hampton, NH.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Monday, August 1, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Interment to follow at Linwood Cemetery. At the family's request there will be no calling hours.
