Manuela ‘Lila’ (Segura) Martinez, 68, of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and longtime Haverhill resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, in Boston after long battle with colon cancer.

She is survived by her loving husband Manuel Martinez; son Marine veteran and Haverhill firefighter Andre Martinez and daughter Aracelis Núñez; cherished grandchildren Mekhi Tyler and Amira Núñez; sisters Sandra Fils, Fatima Segura and Damaris Segura-Ortiz; also several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She is predeceased by her mother Juana Cruz, twin brother Haverhill Firefighter Hector Segura and her brother in-law, Joseph Fils.

Lila worked for Lucent Technologies for 22 years and later retired from MassDOT with the RMV. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill form 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Ceremony will begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
