Obituary

HAVERHILL - Marguerite "Maggie" (Drossos) Rosinski, 67, lifelong resident of Haverhill passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, at her home.

Maggie was born in Haverhill on November 5, 1949, loving daughter of the late John and Mary (Vasiliades) Drossos. She graduated from Haverhill High School and Lasalle Junior College and Curry College. Wife of 40 years to Richard "Rick" Rosinski.

She began her career working in education, teaching in the Haverhill Public Schools and Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School; also, worked as a paralegal in Boston for many years. The career she was most proud of was working in the political arena including as the assistant to the Mayor under John Guerin's administration in Haverhill and working with Mayor Bill Manzi of Methuen also in the City of Lawrence Economic and Development Office and the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, Law Office of Thomas Sullivan and with Ben Consoli Realty. Maggie was passionate about many things, nothing more than her community and its children. She joined the Haverhill Exchange Club whose programs center around youth, community, Americanism and the national cause of child abuse prevention. Maggie was a member, board member, past president and chaired many successful events. She was the Exchangite of the Year and was honored as a member whose countless time and effort exemplified the clubs mission. She will be sadly missed by all.

Maggie's surviving family members in addition to her husband include her siblings, Michael Drossos and wife Malva Gordett of Needham and Theo Drossos and wife Paula of Haverhill; sisters in-law Debra Simmington and Robin Rosinski and partner Anna Brigantino; several nieces and nephews; many close friends; and her special dogs Sofi and Jack.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, May 7, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Funeral Services Monday in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Maggie's memory to The Haverhill Exchange Club which will create a scholarship that will be awarded to a high school student furthering their studies in the field of education.
