HAVERHILL, MA: Madelyn L. Hale, 95, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2023 at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late James E. Hale to whom she was married for sixty-two years.

Born in Dracut, MA on August 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Demerritt) Minkle.

Madelyn was educated in Haverhill and attended Haverhill High School. For many years she worked in the family business to include wood turning and a roller skating rink, both in Newton, NH. Madelyn then went on to work eighteen years as a hand inserter for the former AT&T before retiring to remain home with her family. She found great peace and comfort in her knitting.

Madelyn is survived by her daughters, Linda J. Hale of Hampstead, NH and Karen L. Raymond of Rochester, NH; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
